Lack of Reading

Thanks to Simon, I got into the world of books. While I'm getting pleasure from lots of western books, my Chinese literature has been sliding. I've been worrying about it for some time, but I still haven't got a chance to make for that due to three reasons: large selection and easy access to western books; limited selection and almost zero access to Chinese books (except reading online which I'm not that fond of); friends and family influence.
Today I chatted with a net friend online and was accused of lack of reading Chinese books, which made me ashamed of myself. Oh, well, I can't blame myself too much if I'm making the best of myself since I know the advantage of reading. I will keep reading as many book as I can and at the same time choose from different books. 

Today is Sunday which is the day after Halloween. We had great fun yesterday dressing up and going to a bar getting drunk and dancing, so we decided to take today easy. I got up early because for some reason I woke up and kept thinking about Twilight that I was reading in the last couple of days, therefore the first thing I did was to read my book. Around noon time, Kevin (Simon's cousin) called and wanted to bring his girlfriend over to visit this afternoon. We were very excited to meet her since Kevin is Simon's closest cousin and we got into quite good terms since we got back Canada. We met them at the downtown market and had supper there together with tea.
As to a vegetarian, I found out my choices are so limited, but I still didn't expect my favourite Thai food turned out to be not only not tasty but also a bit yucky to my taste. The green vegetable was cooked in a milky sauce which was not what under normal circumstances I would ever choose to put into my mouth if I had been informed in the first place. And spring roll was fried in a strongly scented ancient oil. To my disgust, it seemed like they forgot to put any salt into my dish. The noodles were the best among them. For money and my stomach's sake, I ate it. But I will scrutinize very carefully before I pick a vegetarian dish next time.
Kevin and his girlfriend bought some lovely cup cakes to share when we had tea together back in our house. It was my first time to have cup cakes. I chose an orange flavoured one and it turned out to be really nice. We had a really lovely chat and they left around 7.
